NATO Battlegroup in Bulgaria Completes ‘Biggest Exercise Yet’
Bulgarian, British and U.S. troops train as part of NATO's multinational battlegroup in Bulgaria during exercise Platinum Lion 22.
The battlegroup consists of the Bulgarian Army’s 42nd Mechanized Battalion and a mechanized infantry company from the U.S. Army's 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team.
Soldiers from the British Army's Royal Irish Regiment work alongside the battlegroup in learning how to maneuver and communicate with their NATO Allies in repelling a simulated attack.
